Tamarac Parks and Recreation Department's volunteer services seek to engage volunteers to assist in the operation and maintenance of certain programs and events, to assist the staff, and to maintain a high quality of life for Tamarac residents. The volunteer program is administered by the Social Services Division within the Parks and Recreation Department. Prospective volunteers are required to fill out an application and undergo a background check. An interview is set up and if there is a match, then an orientation will be done, followed by training and then placement.
