An Update from the Mayor and Commission:
Friday, August 30, 2019 - 6:40 pm
Hurricane Dorian has strengthened into a Category 3 storm, and its speed has slowed as it approaches the Bahamas. It is now expected to start impacting Florida Sunday night into early next week, but uncertainty remains as to exactly where and when. South Florida remains in the forecast cone of this powerful storm, and there is the potential for extreme hazardous weather conditions for a prolonged period of time. Tamarac continues to urge residents and businesses to complete hurricane preparations as soon as possible.
