Pool Day

Updates

Koalas: Our little koalas are learning about good sportsmanship and a few new games, such as fly swatter and count down. They also expressed their creativity by playing with chalk.

Cubs: Their favorite thing to do is to color and draw pretty pictures. This week they worked on a felt arts and crafts. Who knows maybe we have our next Picasso in the cubs.

Bobcats:
We have been learning about the importance of following directions, keeping our hands and feet to ourselves and staying safe. As a matter of fact, our biggest rule in camp bobcats is “safety first.”

Lions: The lions are roaring into the third week of camp. This week, we are celebrating Fourth of July by making stars, noise makers and bracelets.

Tigers: We are continuing to roar in the land of the tigers, we are looking forward to starting our tye-dye project. Next week we are starting, “Whacky Week” where we plan to make the week as colorful as possible!

Panthers: Camp Panthers were introduced to Chinese jump rope- this activity builds stamina, agility, balance and it is so much fun! We got to finish off the week dressing up as our favorite super heroes!

Cougars: Cougars indulged in a competitive game of kickball against camp Cobras, of course there was controversy among the two, debating who was better; but both teams came together showing teamwork and sportsmanship.

Cobras: We played lizard tag, football and their favorite game of the week was team monarch; It helped the campers bond more and work as a team! The Cobras also showed good sportsmanship playing the honey badges in kickball. We did more arts and crafts making black paper scratch art door handles and creating fuzzy art.

Honeybadgers: To encourage our areas of focus (teamwork, endurance, and social interaction) this week we played Golden Ball, Cone Relay, and Kids from Mars. Our highlight game of the week was Golden Ball. This game focuses on all three areas of focus.
