Welcome to Camp Tamarac- Week Two! 

 Each week we'll be bringing you camp happenings, specific groups items, field trip reminders and camp tips! If you have any questions please see your Camp Site Supervisor or staff in the Recreation Center office. 

Reminder: Broward County School Board will be providing breakfast and lunch Mondays-Thursdays during the first six weeks of summer camp.
Please make sure to pack lunch on Fridays, and
please send two snacks and a refillable water bottle
with your camper every day!

Summer Fun at C.B. Smith Park! 

 This week the entire camp traveled to C.B. Smith Park to experience Paradise Cove Water Park they all swam and splashed in Sharky's Lagoon and went tubing down the Crazy Creek!

 Koalas:  We learned how to play so many new games like steal the bacon and relay races. We are also super creative and made puppet owls and hot air balloons!  

Cubs: This week the Cubs created a lot of dinosaur arts and crafts, we played dino tag and learned a lot of dinosaur facts! 

Bobcats: We learned how to play dodge ball (not to worry with really soft balls) , and we love it! Guess what? The girls usually win but so far we are tied. 

Lions: Camp Lions had an eventful week we made Father's Day Cards, decorated our tables and we even had two campers of the week- Omar and Isabella! 

Tigers: This week we participated in "Super Hero Week" where the campers created SUPER arts and crafts and even dressed up as their favorite super heroes. 

Panthers: We kicked off summer camp by creating amazing fuse bead art and ended the week by showing our team spirit with our favorite team jersey day! 

Cougars: We love the game Temple Run, this game test our agility and speed,we want to play that game again and again! 

Cobras: The Cobras had a big competition this week against the mighty Cougars in a kickball showdown. And for the end of the week, we created their own life-size emoji! The camper’s made amazing emoji’s expressions and the mask of their favorite superhero.

Honeybadgers: This summer Honeybadgers will focus on the following skills endurance, teamwork, and social interaction. Each day your child will be encouraged to participate in various activities to promote these skills.

*Please pack a Ziploc bag lunch and all water bottles must be sealed.

Koalas and Cubs 10:00 AM- 2:00 PM
Bobcats and Lions 12:00 PM-4:00 PM 
*Please make sure to return your waiver for Lazerjump no later than Thursday!
