Let your patriotic spirit stay cool and enjoy swimming, music, kid friendly activities, a cool treat, and raffle prizes. Pool entrance fees apply.



4th of July All American Celebration
6 pm -9:30 pm
Tamarac Sports Complex

We invite you and your friends and family for a free outdoor concert with “The Free Rads Band”. South Florida’s dynamic group that performs an energetic array of musical medleys. There will also be an entertainment area with fun rides, arts & crafts, games to keep the children busy, and food trucks will be on site. The night’s not over until after the impressive and choreographed pyrotechnical firework display which kicks off promptly at 9pm.

Limited on-site parking. Please use shuttle from
Tamarac City Hall (7525 NW 88th Ave) and
Tamarac Community Center (8601 W. Commercial Blvd) beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Koalas & Cubs


The Koalas traveled from pool to pool, soaking up the sun and having tons of fun! Next week they travel to the island… Jungle Island! Can’t wait to see all that they find. It’s bound to be a fantastic time! The Cubs theme this week was “Party in the USA”! They created red, white and blue flyers and freedom birds. The campers also cheered other on during their ball-toss-relay.

Bobcats & Lions


This week the Bobcats made roaring lions  and next week’s arts and crafts will be a 3D owl!  The Bobcats loved cooling off in the pool twice this week. The Roaring Lions turned into swimming sea lions while they enjoyed the refreshing water of two water parks! Next week the Lions are looking forward to transforming into marvelous monkeys for their field trip to Jungle Island. They will be making monkey arts and crafts.
 

Tigers & Panthers


It was Patriotic Week for Camp Tigers!  They made patriotic wind mills. Next week will be Jungle Week to go along with the field trip to Jungle Island! They will also be having a scavenger hunt.  The Panthers celebrated “Shark Week”. Our Panthers had a "shark attack" adapting to their arts and crafts which were Shark Hats! The campers played a competitive game of Kickball against Camp Cobras. Both teams learned about teamwork and sportsmanship. The Panthers motto was “Team work makes the dream work”!

Cougars & Cobras


The Cougars began Week 2 with a kickball game against the Cobras. They also participated in an outdoor scavenger hunt which required the campers to search for colors and shapes around the recreation facility. The Cougars favorite activity of the week was “Uno Fitness”. 

 

The Cobras dominated the fields versing the Panthers and Cougars in kickball and then cooled off twice at Calypso Cove and Tamarac Pool. Next week they have one of the biggest trips of the year, Jungle Island! Don’t forget it is extremely hot outside so please provide your child with sunscreen and water daily!

 

Honey Badgers

It was another fun-filled week for Camp Honey Bagders. Favorite games of the week were Charades, President and Ultimate Steal the Bacon. Every week we continue to build skills such as team work and competitive activities. Next week we travel to Kaboom's, Jungle Island and the Tamarac Aquatic Complex!
