A Message from the Mayor and Commission
Thursday, May 21, 4:45 pm
The City of Tamarac will be closed on Monday, May 25, as we observe Memorial Day. While we had to cancel this year’s ceremony, the City will share a video salute to honor those who lost their lives while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. We thank all veterans for their service.
Tamarac’s next City Commission meeting is on Wednesday, May 27, at 9:30 am and will be conducted virtually. The Commission workshop scheduled for Tuesday, May 26, has been canceled.
Commission meetings can be viewed at www.Tamarac.org/CityCommissionMeetings and via Facebook Live on the City of Tamarac Facebook page. Public participation is welcome. Visit www.Tamarac.org/GovernmentMeetingInformation for details on how to submit comments for virtual meetings, or call the City Clerk’s office at (954) 597-3505.
Earlier today, Broward County issued an Emergency Order consolidating the directives in its previous orders on reopening. It also clarifies business and resident responsibilities for adhering to social distancing, facial covering and sanitation requirements recommended by the CDC. The order is available at www.Broward.org/CoronaVirus/Documents/EmergencyOrder20-12.pdf.
