The reported number of Coronavirus cases in Florida reached more than 8,000 today. This emphasizes the critical need for everyone to follow the statewide executive order from Governor DeSantis (effective at 12:01 am tomorrow, April 3) and stay home.
Cancellation and Postponement Notices:
- All City special events have been postponed through the first week of May.
- Tamarac’s Community Shuttle services are canceled effective Friday, April 3, until further notice. Call (954) 597-3649 for additional information.
- The 9th Annual P.A.R.O.T. golf tournament, scheduled for Friday, April 24, has been postponed.
- The April 25 Household Hazardous Waste Event hosted by the City of Fort Lauderdale is canceled.
We urge everyone, especially seniors as well as individuals with significant underlying health conditions, to only go out in public for the bare minimum of essential services and activities as defined in the executive order. We’d like to thank essential workers for all you are doing during these challenging times. THANK YOU to our first responders, law enforcement officers, doctors and nurses.
