[ARCHIVED] Tamarac to chlorinate the City’s water system

As a routine part of the City’s water distribution system maintenance, Tamarac will temporarily return to free chlorination of its drinking water. This preventive procedure will last from November 5 – 26, 2013. There may be a slight change in the taste or smell of tap water, but these short-term conditions will not cause any adverse health effects.

Tamarac is chlorinating its water system during the same period as the City of Fort Lauderdale, which services Tamarac residents east of State Road 7/441.

For additional information please call the Tamarac Water Treatment Plant at (954) 597-3775.
