Tamarac, Fla. (May 16, 2023) – In honor of National Police Week, on Wednesday, May 17, the City of Tamarac and Vice Mayor Marlon Bolton will present the 2nd Annual Honor the Stripe event in appreciation of the brave law enforcement officers serving and protecting our community daily.
Honor the Stripe gives local leaders and members of the local law enforcement community the opportunity to come together for a remembrance ceremony honoring law enforcement officers who lost their lives in the line of duty, as well as those currently serving.
Honor the Stripe was first introduced in the city of Tamarac in 2022 by Vice Mayor Marlon Bolton. "I am honored that the City will continue hosting this event to pay tribute to the brave police men and women who put their lives on the line every day to keep us safe,” said Bolton. “It is important to recognize their hard work and sacrifice; and this event is a small way to show our appreciation." Bolton will make a special presentation to all law enforcement personnel present.
Honor the Stripe is free and open to all. It will take place at 4:30 p.m., on Wednesday, May 17, at Tamarac City Hall, located at 7525 NW 88th Ave., Tamarac, FL 33321.
