Tamarac, Fla. (July 7, 2021) – Thursday, July 8th, the City of Tamarac will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony to introduce the second round of Inspiration Way public art installations.

Inspiration Way, also known as Tamarac’s “museum without walls,” is a temporary sculpture program located on Nob Hill Road, between Commercial Boulevard and McNab Road. Selected by the Tamarac Art Committee, the installations promote appreciation of fine art, enhance outdoor spaces and enrich lives.

Free and open to the public, guests can meet artists whose work is exhibited at the site. Guests will also enjoy a dance performance by Ashanti Cultural Arts. Light refreshments will be served. The ribbon cutting will occur at 6 p.m.; but the community is invited to arrive early to witness artist Anthony Heinz May build a sculpture on-site, beginning at 3 p.m. Free parking is available at the Parks and Recreation Administration Building, 6001 N. Nob Hill Rd.

Inspiration Way offers 12 new sculptures, compelling to both residents and visitors. Each sculpture is for sale, with 25% of the proceeds applied to the City's Public Art Fund. The new exhibit will be displayed until Spring 2022.

“Public art improves the City's image and is one of the many things that gives Tamarac its character,” said Maxine Calloway, Director of Community Development and liaison to the City’s Art Committee.

Paid for by developer contributions to the City's Public Art Fund, Tamarac’s public art is not funded through local taxes.
