Roadwork to create safer travel conditions on N. Pine Island Rd., between NW 79th St. and Southgate Blvd., will start May 6 and is expected to continue through mid-August. The County project will include increasing the cross slope to assist drivers around the curve, reconstructing sidewalks, improving drainage and adding bike lanes.
