Tamarac Village Groundbreaking: The Next Step in Tamarac’s Transformation
Join us as we celebrate a major milestone with the groundbreaking for Tamarac Village, a new, mixed-use town center, on Wednesday, October 10 at 10 am.
Tamarac Village will serve as an economic driver for the City and provide a hub within the community for dining, shopping and events. It will be located on 23 acres on the north side of Commercial Boulevard between Pine Island Road and NW 94th Avenue.
The development includes a residential component with 401 rental apartments in 13 buildings and a clubhouse, as well as 44,000 square feet of Class A commercial space with indoor and outdoor seating and a public park. It’s estimated that it will have a $100 million impact on the City, creating jobs and contributing an additional $729,000 in annual tax revenue.
JKM Developers is developing the project. Construction will start with the residential component, and the entire project is expected to be completed in phases in three years.
The groundbreaking ceremony will include the demolition of a bank building at the southwest corner of the property at Commercial Boulevard and NW 94th Avenue. It’s open to the public and members of the media are encouraged to attend.
