Tamarac’s Community Garage Sale this Saturday, Sept. 16 is still on! Join us at Tamarac Park from 7:30 am – noon.
Hurricane debris collection begins Monday, Sept. 18. Here’s what you need to know:
- Vegetative debris (e.g. tree branches and leaves) must be separated from other debris (e.g. fencing or plywood). Do not mix vegetative debris with other items. The two types of debris must be placed by the side of the road in two separate stacks for pick up. Everything should be cut to a maximum length of 10 feet.
- Important: Do not put any storm debris in black bags. If you want to bag your debris, you must use clear bags. We can’t collect any bags other than clear bags.
- Debris should be stacked away from fire hydrants, mail boxes and any meter, cable or electrical boxes.
- Private communities are urged to bring vegetative debris to the swales closest to public roads, and homeowners associations should return waiver forms allowing the City to pick up debris on their private properties to Community Development as soon as possible.
Recycling collection also begins Monday, Sept. 18.
