[ARCHIVED] Hurricane Irma Update 11

As part of our ongoing Hurricane Irma cleanup efforts, the City has completed clearing the main corridors and continues to work on local roads. With this critical first step taken, we can now turn our attention to debris collection.

Residents should prepare their debris for removal as soon as possible by stacking items for pick up along the edge of the road (but please, not in the road). The stack must be away from fire hydrants, mail boxes and any meter, cable or electrical boxes. Everything should be cut to a maximum length of 10 feet.

Debris containing trees, shrubs and branches must be kept separate from any bulk waste.

Debris removal will run from 7:30 am – 7:30 pm, seven days a week for the foreseeable future.

Recreation facilities are now open and classes will resume their normal schedule. The Caporella Aquatic Center and the Fitness Center will open today at 2 p.m. Parks are expected to open on Thursday.

Play Day, originally scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 14th, has been rescheduled. It will now take place on Oct. 7th, in conjunction with a Movie in the Park event.
