South Florida will soon begin to feel the effects of Hurricane Irma. Preparations for this major weather event should be completed by end of day Friday.
Any bulk trash that has not been collected must be brought inside. It could become a danger to you and others.
An additional pet friendly shelter has opened at Everglades High School, 17100 SW 48 Court, Miramar. However, any pet owner who was pre-registered at Millennium in Tamarac should still take their pet to that shelter.
Broward County has a helpful Home Damage Assessment Program. Review it in advance and use it to report any damage to your property as a result of the hurricane. To report, call the County’s Emergency Hotline at 311 or (954) 831-4000, or click here to access http://gis.broward.org/ReportHomeDamage/
Once the storm has passed, please remain off the streets to allow roads to be cleared and emergency vehicles to respond.
We will update Tamarac’s Citizen Hotline, (954) 718-1800, as the situation warrants.
