[ARCHIVED] Tamarac to Chlorinate the City’s Water System

Tamarac to Chlorinate the City’s Water System

From May 10th to June 14th, the water distribution systems serving the City of Tamarac will temporarily return to free chlorination of the drinking water. This includes Tamarac’s system, which provides drinking water to all areas west of State Road 7/441 and Ft. Lauderdale’s system, which serves all areas east of State Road 7/441. This preventative procedure is a routine part of water distribution system maintenance.

These temporary conditions will not cause adverse health effects but, during this period, some individuals may experience a slight change in the taste or odor of the tap water. For additional information, please call the Tamarac Water Treatment Plant at (954) 597-3775.
