Kicia Daniel has lived in the City of Tamarac for over a decade and has dedicated the last thirty (30) years of her life to public service as an advocate, missionary and educator.
She currently serves as a successful school principal for Broward County Public Schools, where she has worked for 23 years. In her role as an educator, she has been a teacher, coach, and administrator.
Dr. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Florida A&M University, a Master and Doctor of Education in Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. She has been honored with recognition for her leadership skills from Harvard University and Florida Department of Education. She has transformed schools from performing at the lowest 300 in the State of Florida to performing above average within a year. In 2019 and 2020, she was awarded the Exceeding Expectation Award for her leadership.
Family is important to Dr. Daniel. She takes pleasure in spending time with her family. She has been married to her husband Mark for eleven years and has two boys, Marquis and Kyle. Both are active and play baseball, soccer, and football in Tamarac.
She believes Tamarac is a great place for families to live and wants to be part of a team that will make Tamarac not only great but one of the best cities in our nation. Her goal is to build a strong system of continuous improvement to meeting the needs of all residents, from the babies to grandparents.
