Mainlands of Tamarac Sections 1-5 Pavement Replacement Project. Broward County Mobility Advancement Maintenance Project #BC-TAM-FY2020-00001. Solicitation 21-18B.

Seeking surveying or engineering firms with experience in all phases of professional surveying as described in Florida Statutes, Chapter 472 entitled "Land Surveying and Mapping" and with surveyors licensed in the State of Florida on their staff to provide miscellaneous surveying and mapping services. Such services may include boundary surveys, plat surveys, easement surveys, topographic surveys, as-built surveys, and preparation of legal descriptions and sketches. Status: Pending in review by Broward County. The anticipated issuance is 2nd Quarter of 2022.

Multi-Modal Transportation Master Connectivity Plan. Broward County Mobility Advancement Project #TAMA-001. Solicitation 21-07R.

The City of Tamarac is hereby requesting proposals from qualified consultants to provide the City with a Multi-Modal Transportation Connectivity Master Plan. Status: A solicitation is currently being reviewed by Broward County. It is anticipated to be issued in the 2nd Quarter of 2022.

Fire Station No. 15 Pre-Emption Emergency Vehicle Signal System Project. Broward County Mobility Enhancement Project #TAMA-014. Solicitation 21-19B.

The City of Tamarac is hereby requesting Bids, from Qualified Contractors, for the construction of the City of Tamarac, Fire Station No. 15 Pre-Emption Emergency Vehicle Signal System Project. The project consists of constructing a complete Pre-Emption Emergency Vehicle Signal System for the City of Tamarac’s Fire Station No. 15, located at 6000 Hiatus Road, Tamarac, Florida, 33321. The work shall include, but not limited to, verification of existing utilities and drainage facilities, clearing and grubbing, concrete removal, concrete curbing, concrete sidewalk and driveway restoration, the construction of substructures that will support mast arms, complete mast arm and signal systems, installation of new pavement markings and signage, trenching, directional boring, electrical conduit and component  installation - both to the interior and exterior of the fire station, earthwork, landscaping and sod restoration. The Contractor must perform these services in the City of Tamarac, Florida in accordance with applicable, Federal, State and local regulations and in accordance with the project design plans, as prepared by McMahon Associates, Inc. The work includes all labor, materials, equipment, engineering and obtaining all applicable permits, licenses, insurance, and supervision necessary to complete the project as specified herein. All proposed improvements shall be completed in accordance with the project bid documents, design plans, details, technical specifications / scope of work and all applicable federal, state, county, and local regulatory requirements. Status: A solicitation is being drafted. It requires review by Broward County prior to issuance. It is anticipated to be issued the 3rd Quarter of 2022. 

Nob Hill Culvert Gate.

Project will entail installation of a gate at culvert just west of Nob Hill Road at canal 2B to control water elevation in city canal system. Status: It is anticipated to be issued 3rd Quarter of 2022.

Citywide Buffer Walls – Phase VI Solicitation 22-10B

The City of Tamarac is hereby requesting bids from qualified Contractors for construction of the Citywide Buffer Walls Phase VI. The Project is generally located on the North side of Prospect Road from 250’ west of NW 15th Ave to 50’ west of NW 19th Way, Tamarac, Florida. The work shall include, but not limited to, site preparation, demolition, construction of a new pre-cast concrete buffer wall system (both full concrete panels and wrought iron fence design) and associated work, grading, curbing, concrete work, sidewalks construction, ADA curb ramps, tree removal/protection, utility relocations, coordination of private utilities relocations, coordination with Broward County, restoration, and sod installation. The work includes all labor, materials, equipment, engineering and obtaining all applicable permits, licenses, insurance, and supervision necessary to complete the project as specified herein. All proposed improvements shall be completed in accordance with the project bid documents, design plans, details, technical specifications / scope of work and all applicable federal, state, county, and local regulatory requirements. Status: Solicitation currently being developed and scheduled for issuance by mid June. 

Tamarac Community Center (TCC) Restroom Renovation Project - Solicitation 22-20B

The City of Tamarac is hereby requesting Bids from qualified Contractors for the Tamarac Community Center (TCC) Restrooms Renovation Project located at 8601 W. Commercial Blvd, Tamarac, FL. Proposed restrooms renovation shall include the Men’s & Women’s restrooms located near TCC Gymnasium (West side of facility) and Men’s & Women’s restrooms located near TCC Ballroom (East side of facility). See attached Exhibit A - Floor plan. Proposed work shall include but is not limited to the demolition and removal of existing doors and frames, all plumbing fixtures, all toilet partitions and accessories, all interior finishes on floors, walls and ceilings. Work shall include but is not limited to furnishing and installing new wall, ceiling & floor finishes, new toilet partitions and restroom accessories, new plumbing fixtures, new doors, frames, and hardware, new ceiling supply & return air vents, new LED lighting, and new counters as detailed herein for a turnkey operation. The work includes all labor, materials, equipment, engineering and obtaining all applicable permits (City will reimburse at cost all permit fees except the 1% Public Art Fee permit), licenses, insurance, and supervision necessary to complete the project as specified herein. The work includes all labor, materials, equipment, engineering and obtaining all applicable permits, licenses, insurance, and supervision necessary to complete the project as specified herein. All proposed improvements shall be completed in accordance with the project bid documents, design plans, details, technical specifications / scope of work and all applicable Federal, State, County, and City codes/regulations, including but not limited to, Seventh Edition (2020) Florida Building Code, Seventh Edition (2020) Florida Building Code Accessibility, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), City of Tamarac Code of Ordinances, City of Tamarac Standard Engineer Details and industry standards if greater than code requirements. If a conflict between any Codes, Regulations, Standards and Criteria is detected, the most stringent shall apply. Status: Solicitation currently being developed and scheduled for issuance in by mid June.

C-14 Canal Erosion Improvement Project - Solicitation 22-21B

This project consists of culvert bulkhead improvements at four (4) separate locations, as identified in the project design plans, the above Description of Work and the below Bid Schedules.  It is the intent of the City to award this bid based on the Total Base Bid for all bid items; however, the City reserves the right to award this bid by low total per location or by low total per groups of locations, whichever is in the best interest of the City at the following 4 locations:

  • CULVERT BULKHEAD IMPROVEMENTS PHASE VI - Southgate Blvd. West (SOUTH)
  • CULVERT BULKHEAD IMPROVEMENTS PHASE VI – Southgate Blvd. East (SOUTH)
  • CULVERT BULKHEAD IMPROVEMENTS PHASE VI, NW 46th Street (Tamarac Lakes Section 2)
  • CULVERT BULKHEAD IMPROVEMENTS PHASE VI, NW 82nd Street (NORTH) 

Status: Solicitation currently being developed and scheduled for issuance in by mid to late June.
