Neighborhood Stabilization Program – Round 3
NOTICE OF OPEN ENROLLMENT
NSP3 Homebuyer Program
Applications for the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP3) for the purchase of City owned foreclosures in the Sunflower Community (ONLY) will be available for pick up, or download, beginning Monday April 30, 2012. Applications can be picked up at Tamarac City Hall, 7525 N.W. 88 Avenue, or on the City's website, (choose the "HOUSING PROGRAM" link on the left-hand side of the screen).
Open Enrollment for the submission of NSP3 applications will be from:
May 14 - May 25, 2012, no exceptions!
Submit applications at City Hall, Room 206, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
The homes available are located in Sunflower ONLY and are 3/1 or 3/2 single-family homes ranging in price from approximately $110,000 to $160,000. Home listings will be made available to those who qualify for the program. Sunflower Community is located off 82 Street to the east side and North University Drive, view the map here.

PLEASE NOTE: All Housing Assistance Programs are Closed at This Time.
The City of Tamarac administers home repair programs and a first time homebuyer program. Application cycles are announced as funding becomes available and are processed on a first come first serve basis. The programs are designed to assist current homeowners in Tamarac with needed repairs to maintain the structural integrity of their house and for those who desire to become homeowners within Tamarac. The programs are funded by the State of Florida through the SHIP program and by the Federal Housing and Urban Development Department through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Home Investments Partnership (HOME) programs.

Determination of eligibility for the various Housing Assistance Programs is based on income guidelines set by both the State and Federal funding agencies which provide the assistance monies to the City.

First Time Homebuyer / Down Payment Assistance - NOT AVAILABLE
To assist with the purchase of a home. ( Maximum Award of $40,000)
Owner Occupied Rehabilitation - NOT AVAILABLE
For repair or rehabilitation to correct health and safety hazards in the property. (Maximum Award of $30,000)

Program Requirements:
- Applicants must meet the income requirements set by grant funding source(s).
- Property must be located within the City of Tamarac.
- Applicants required to sign Recapture Loan Document(s).
- Must be able to verify income and assets.
This property must be primary residence.
All applications are processed in the order received.
Approval of applicants will be made to assure that extremely low, very low, low and moderate-income families are served.
